About the IELTS speaking exam
The IELTS speaking exam is divided into three parts.
In Part 2 of the speaking exam:
The candidate is given one minute to prepare a topic that the examiner has chosen.
The candidate then needs to speak for up to two minutes about that topic.
At the end of their monologue, the candidate is required to answer a follow-up question.
